Every player from 1998 - 2006 who accumulated at least 15 Win Shares in their careers were studied (1222 players in total). Their origins (University / High School / Junior College / International) and positions (Pitcher / Catcher / Position Player) were noted as well as their ages at each level in which they played.
Average Ages and Standard Deviations were calculated for 12 groups in total. The results are as follows:
